Vision
Palestinian women make up more than half of Palestinian society, yet make up less than 12.5 of leadership positions in Palestine. We have the ability to exist despite the difficulties, pain and obstacles to lay a new path filled by life, we are the women who stand in the face of the wall of obstacles and difficulties that we are as Palestinian women face for a better future., therefore it is necessary to increase the women Political Participation and Decision making , raise the women voice demanding recognition of the law, to have independence women (socially ,politically ,and economically). Creating a generation that is intellectually and culturally empowered and supportive of women's rights.
Without these critical voices, Palestinian society will never be able to advance and become a safe, peaceful, and free society the way we believe it should be. We fly like a Palestinian bird of the sun to the high sky to stand in the highest places and ranks so that our sun shines all over the world. We are the women of the sun who demand the full right to be present in the political and economic arena and raise awareness based on them and to be deeply involved and decision-making and economic empowerment for the women of Palestine.
Mission
Women of the Sun aims to reach every woman in the Palestinian community in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem and in the Diaspora, and to empower them politically and economically. Focus on two groups: Working with educated women empowering them to take on political leadership roles in PA society, and women of the general population educate and exposing women at all levels of PA society to their right to political and economic opportunities/participation.
The Palestinian Reality: The Palestinian people have long struggled for their rights, sovereignty, and self-determination. Amidst this challenging context, women face additional hurdles and discrimination, limiting their potential and contributions to society. By investing in women's empowerment, we are investing in a better future for Palestine.
