Women of the Sun Meet Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde to Highlight the Voices and Realities of Palestinian Women
During their visit to Belgium last week, Women of the Sun had the honour of meeting His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium and Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium to discuss the realities, challenges, and hopes of Palestinian women.
We shared the voices of women from across our communities — voices calling for dignity, safety, equal opportunities, and a future where women are fully included in shaping peace, justice, and social progress.
We deeply appreciate Their Majesties’ genuine interest, attentive listening, and commitment to understanding the lived experiences of women on the ground.
This meaningful dialogue highlights the importance of international partnerships that amplify women’s leadership and support their essential role in building resilient, thriving societies.
Together, we continue our mission to ensure that the voices of Palestinian women are heard, valued, and empowered.
خلال زيارتنا إلى بلجيكا الأسبوع الماضي، حظيت نساء الشمس بشرف لقاء جلالة الملك فيليب وجلالة الملكة مَثيلد لمناقشة قضايا النساء والتحديات التي تواجه النساء الفلسطينيات.
شاركنا خلال اللقاء أصوات النساء من مختلف مجتمعاتنا — أصوات تطالب بالكرامة، والأمان، والفرص المتساوية، ومستقبل تُشارك فيه النساء بشكل كامل في صنع السلام والعدالة والتقدم الاجتماعي.
نقدّر لجلالتيهما اهتمامهما الحقيقي وإصغاءهما العميق والتزامهما بفهم التجارب التي تعيشها النساء على أرض الواقع.
ويؤكد هذا الحوار أهمية الشراكات الدولية التي تعزز قيادة النساء وتدعم دورهن الأساسي في بناء مجتمعات قوية ومزدهرة.
