On 17 August 2026, a participant from the first phase of the Slovenia-supported project, launched a four-day summer camp for children with special needs, under the supervision of Women of the Sun funded by the Slovenian Representative Office in Ramallah. The first day had focused on sustainability, reuse, reduce concepts and creativity through making “Bracelets of Friendship” from old clothes, nature-based decorations, and decorating traditional pottery (fukhar) cups.

The camp is more than learning, it extends to giving hope to special needs children, including them in summer camps and creating a space where every child feels valued and empowered.

في 17 آب/أغسطس 2026، أطلقت إحدى المشاركات في المرحلة الأولى من المشروع المدعوم من سلوفينيا مخيمًا صيفيًا لمدة أربعة أيام للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، تحت إشراف جمعية نساء الشمس وبتمويل من الممثلية السلوفينية في رام الله. ركز اليوم الأول على مفاهيم الاستدامة وإعادة الاستخدام وتقليل النفايات والإبداع، من خلال صناعة «أساور الصداقة» من الملابس القديمة، وإعداد زينة باستخدام مواد طبيعية، وتزيين أكواب الفخّار التقليدية.

المخيم يتجاوز مفهوم التعلم، فهو يمتد ليمنح الأمل للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، ويعزز دمجهم في المخيمات الصيفية، ويوفر مساحة يشعر فيها كل طفل بأنه موضع تقدير، ومدعوم، وقادر على الإبداع والمشاركة.
