Meeting with Ada Colau Mayor of Barcelona City

During the visit to Spain Reem Al-Hajajreh, director of Women of the Sun (WOS) has met with Ada Colau, the mayor of Barcelona city. Reem represented Women of the Sun Association and its work. She also talked about Palestinian women and raised up their voices, where she provided a comprehensive perception of Palestinian women reality living in ongoing conflict and oppression.
Ada Colau addressed the issue of women by saying that: “It is time for women’s voices to be heard, who have always been an active part of building peace processes around the world, but at the same time an excluded part of form al processes. It is urgent that this changes and they are given the space they deserve”.
