“In war, fear is not an idea but a feeling that lives inside our homes. The sound of a missile does not ask who you are; it leaves behind a frightened mother, a trembling child, and an uncertain future.”

These powerful words were shared by Reem Al Hajajreh, Palestinian activist and founder of Women of the Sun association, during the ceremony at the Garden of the Righteous.

At a time of ongoing war and deep uncertainty, Reem carried the voice of Palestinian women and the daily reality of families living through conflict. Her message reminded us that beyond politics and borders, our shared humanity remains the strongest foundation for dialogue .
