Women of the Sun Continues the 1325 Ambassadors Project with Leadership Workshops in Bethlehem

As part of the 1325 Ambassadors Project, the second and third workshops were held in Bethlehem in partnership with B&HOPE and the Municipality of Geneva, bringing together women leaders from different areas. The sessions focused on moving from the theoretical understanding of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 to practical implementation on the ground within participants’ own communities.

Participants worked on developing community-based initiatives to be led by each woman in her town and local context, aiming to strengthen women’s meaningful participation in decision-making and create sustainable impact in peace and community issues.

These workshops reaffirmed that real empowerment begins when knowledge turns into action, and each woman becomes an ambassador of change in her own place.

في إطار مشروع سفراء 1325، نُفذت الورشة الثانية والثالثة في بيت لحم بالشراكة مع B&HOPE وبلدية جنيف، وبمشاركة مجموعة من النساء القياديات من مختلف المناطق. ركزت الورشتان على الانتقال من الفهم النظري لقرار مجلس الأمن 1325 إلى التطبيق العملي على أرض الواقع، من خلال تفعيل دور المشاركات في مجتمعاتهن المحلية.

تم العمل على تطوير مبادرات مجتمعية تقودها كل مشاركة في بلدتها ومحيطها، بهدف تعزيز المشاركة الفاعلة للنساء في صنع القرار، وبناء تأثير حقيقي ومستدام في قضايا السلام والمجتمع.

جاءت هذه الورش لتؤكد أن التمكين الحقيقي يبدأ عندما تتحول المعرفة إلى فعل، وكل امرأة تصبح سفيرة للتغيير في مكانها.
