Women of the Sun Implements Second UNSCR 1325 Initiative on Community Protection Committees in Marginalized Areas

As part of the UNSCR 1325 Project which is funded by B8Hope, Women of the Sun implemented the second initiative entitled “Community Protection Committees in Marginalized Areas and Their Relation to UN Resolution 1325” in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
‏The workshop focused on:
‏The role of Community Protection Committees in supporting women and vulnerable groups in marginalized areas
‏How their work connects to the principles of UNSCR 1325, especially protection and participation
‏An interactive discussion on challenges facing these committees and ways to strengthen community safety for women
‏Participants shared real experiences and ideas to enhance women’s engagement and leadership within protection structures. At the end of the workshop, interviews were conducted with the participants and attendees to document the experience, reinforce the workshop’s key messages, and help spread awareness to other women in the community.
‏ We continue working to create safe spaces that protect women’s rights and ensure their participation in decision-making.

ضمن مشروع قرار مجلس الأمن 1325 الممول من B8 Hope, نفّذت جمعية نساء الشمس اليوم المبادرة الثانية بعنوان:
“لجان الحماية في المناطق المهمشة وعلاقتها بقرار الأمم المتحدة 1325”
وذلك بالتعاون مع جمعية الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني.
ركزت الورشة على:
دور لجان الحماية المجتمعية في دعم النساء والفئات الضعيفة داخل المناطق المهمشة
كيفية ربط عمل اللجان بمبادئ قرار 1325 في مجال الحماية والمشاركة
نقاش تفاعلي حول التحديات التي تواجه اللجان والحلول الممكنة لتعزيز الحماية والأمن المجتمعي للنساء
شاركت النساء تجاربهن وآرائهن حول واقع الحماية في مجتمعاتهن وأفكار لتفعيل دورهن داخل لجان الحماية.
وفي ختام الورشة، تم إجراء مقابلات مع المشاركات والحضور بهدف توثيق التجربة وترسيخ محتوى الورشة، إلى جانب نشر الوعي ونقل المعرفة إلى نساء أخريات داخل المجتمع.
مستمرون في بناء مساحات آمنة تحمي حقوق النساء وتدعم مشاركتهن في صنع القرار.
